We provide our participants the opportunity to build skills and to become actively involved in the community.
These include the participant’s involvement in volunteering, charity organisations, neighbourhood associations or any other innovative activity in the community.
We assist the participants in developing individual life skills and training around community, social and recreational activities (in order to promote as much independence as possible).
This may involve training in daily personal activities and important life skills, such as: Public transport skills, Resume skills, Taxes, Saving skills, Social skills, Physical activity skills, etc.
We enable our participants to take part in community, social, recreational or economic activities. This is provided in a range of environments, such as: In the community or at a centre.
Taking participants on shopping trips or any appointments; Leisure activities, etc. This service category can also provide support that encourages skill building regarding the community participation potential.
We support participants with socialisation and community participation either in a centre-based setting or directly in their community.
These supports aim to provide participants opportunities to engage in activities and events in a group, while being appropriately supported when doing so. Group activities may include Dance classes, Cooking classes, etc and centre-based activities.
